Dictionary: Symmetry
A figure has symmetry if it looks the same after a reflection, rotation or other transformation.
f(-x) = f(x) → line symmetry about the y-axis
Line symmetry: The figure is mirrored about a straight line.
Point symmetry: The figure looks the same after a 180° rotation.
A parabola is always symmetric about a vertical line through the vertex.
