Dictionary: Hypotenuse
The hypotenuse is the longest side in a right-angled triangle — the side opposite the right angle.
c = √(a² + b²)
In any right-angled triangle, the hypotenuse is always the longest side. It is calculated using the Pythagorean theorem.
Remember: Only right-angled triangles have a hypotenuse!
